Sales Support
AdX / AdDispo
AdX has been developed for the reservation of cross-media ads, and AdDispo for the classic reservation of print ads.
Cross-media ad reservation with AdX
The positive trend in online advertising remains undiminished despite the current economic crisis. All long-term forecasts predict that the internet will assert its significance as an advertising platform. It seems equally certain that the revenue for print ads will, in the long term, be well above the equivalent for online display ads. The best strategy is therefore to use different media and focus on multi-channel publishing. AdX can be used for the cross-media reservation of advertising formats for both print and online, and hence for managing highly profitable premium packages for multi-media campaigns. It is also possible to use online advertising only or to integrate mobile output channels.
Reservation of print ads with AdDispo
In times of new advertising platforms such as the internet or mobile requirements regarding classic print publications will, inevitably, also increase. More service, more quality and more flexibility are the order of the day. Advertising clients expect shorter ad deadlines, flexible offers with customized ad spaces and combinations, as well as competent advice. AdDispo guarantees that all ad requests are placed correctly as requested by the customer. Free, occupied and alternative ad spaces can be viewed on the web in all remote offices. Ad sales are actively supported by a number of functions such as premium position management, waiting lists or options for submitting offers automatically.
Production
AdMan / WebLink LI / WebLink CI / AdCept
With its comprehensive range of control, management and tracking functions, AdMan is at the heart of the ad production workflow. The AdMan environment also includes three web-based modules, which integrate outsourced ad production companies and allow customers to upload partial artwork or production-ready ads.
Cross-media ad production with AdMan
AdMan is the central module in ad management that ensures safe and reliable production of print, online and mobile advertising formats. The entire production process is controlled and tracked by AdMan in conjunction with an ad order entry system, for example SAP's IS-M/AM, and a DTP program or design editor (e.g. InDesign, QuakXPress, VI&VA-Editor, PageOne, Adfrend). AdMan has been designed as a lite client for ad booking tasks, whereas the ad production department works with the browser-based web version. An integrated preflight check ensures that problems with colors, fonts, sizes and file formats are detected and resolved. Stringent requirements ensure adherence to deadlines and a validity check for logos. AdMan can be used in a network that spans multiple sites and customized to include a publisher's specific in-house functions.
Outsourced ad production with WebLink LI
Whether outsourced ad production can be successfully integrated in your ad workflow and whether this will produce the desired savings is merely a matter of using the right tool. Integration with WebLink LI (Layout Interface) will ensure more flexibility, lower costs and maximum production security. This program is a web-based application and can be started via a standard browser. The extent to which you outsource your work, i.e. whether you want to relieve your in-house ad production department during peak periods or whether you outsource all your work, is completely irrelevant – WebLink knows no limits.
Uploading partial artwork and production-ready ads with WebLInk CI
With WebLink CI (Customer Interface) you provide your customers with an internet portal for uploading production-ready ads and partial artwork, which are used in AdMan to complete or correct an ad order. This has a double impact. Not only does it integrate the customer in the production process and give him a deeper insight into it, but it also reduces the amount of work involved for the publisher, since WebLink CI automatically assigns files and governs communication. An online acknowledgement, which can also be sent by e-mail if required, is attached to every upload. WebLink CI also monitors adherence to deadlines, triggering the required preflight checks. This ensures that only files that are ready for production are actually forwarded to the production system.
Reviewing ads with AdCept
If you prefer a short, fast workflow, you should review and release your display ads online. With AdCept, you will acquire a web-based tool that not only shortens your workflow significantly, but also rules out any communication problems, since the correction requests are stored together with the ad order. The average amount of time and work spent on each ad is therefore significantly reduced due to web interaction. Because the minute your customer or ad consultant accepts a proof, a production release in AdMan is automatically triggered.
Classified Pagination
AdPag
AdPag is the preferred tool for paginating classified ad pages automatically, fast and reliably. Class headers, continuation headers and column rules are set automatically. Pagination times, including a soft proof, are reduced to an average of under two minutes a page. Pagination is not based on the produced ad files, but solely on the booking data from the ad order entry system. This not only saves time and money, but ensures exact pagination results before ads and other page elements are produced. Ad deadlines can be extended until shortly before printing is about to begin.
Ad Verification
AdCon
AdCon is used to automatically verify published ads after production has been completed. AdCon reads the placement data of all assembled ads from the central production database and writes it to a file. This file contains a list of all placed ads, together with information on the depth/width, colors, desks, page placements etc. These actual values are then used for precise invoicing, processing make-goods and drawing up statistics in the ad order entry system.
Proof
Ad Proof
Make-goods and production delays resulting from faulty ad files are annoying - and can be avoided by using ppi's ProofStation Ad Proof module. You can check all your ad data in a color-accurate soft proof on your screen and then release it to the downstream page assembly system. RIP errors and content- or layout-related inconsistencies can be detected and corrected very early on. ProofStation boasts a clear user interface with an enhanced preview feature for each ad and a range of tools for fast, accurate proofing.
